RULES OF CONDUCT IN VELEBIT NATURE PARK
The area of Velebit Nature Park is legally protected. Visitors are kindly requested to adhere to the following rules and cooperate with Park staff in order to preserve the original biological, geological, and cultural authenticity of this protected are, including:
- Do not damage trees, shrubs, or other vegetation.
- Do not scare, disturb, catch, hunt, or kill any animal species.
- Do not damage nests, cavities, burrows, or other animal habitats.
- Do not camp or light fires, except in clearly designated areas.
- Do not pollute the air, soil, or water in any way.
- Do not destroy Park markers or signs.
- Do not damage protected cultural monuments or other structures within the Park.
- Do not destroy or collect geological, archaeological, or other valuable finds.
- Engage in sports and recreational activities only in areas designated for such purposes.
- In Cerovac Caves and Zavratnica Cove, remain on existing trails.
- Ride bicycles only on public roads, gravel roads, open forest roads, and designated cycling paths.
- Use only public roads, gravel roads, and open forest roads for motor vehicle travel.
- Do not record or photograph for commercial purposes without permission from the Public Institution.
- Always cooperate with Nature Park staff and align your behavior with these rules.
