The Prpa Mountain Lodge is actually a small settlement made up of several bungalows, established and maintained on the edge of the Oštarije Field by Vlado Prpić from the Prpa Mountaineering Society (HPD Prpa). Each bungalow in the settlement has its own name (Basača, Kiza, etc.) and is creatively equipped and decorated. The bungalows are open year-round and offer overnight accommodation.

Mountain Huts


The Sijaset Mountain Hut is situated at the bottom of the deeply cut Sijaset valley and is surrounded by a beautiful black pine forest. This stone-built hut features a dining area, kitchen, and dormitory. Because of its low altitude and proximity to Senj, it is a popular outing spot for hikers from Senj and can also serve as a base for ascents in the Senjsko bilo area.

The Careva kuća Mountain Hut at Begovača (1,180 m) is located right next to the Krasno–Alan road, at the beginning of the branch road towards Veliki Lubenovac, below Begovački kuk. It is a yellow masonry two-storey building, provided for use by the forestry department to the HPD Gromovača mountaineering society from Otočac.

The Apatišan Mountain Hut is a wooden forester's house that has been converted into a mountain house by HPD Rajinac from Krasno. It includes a kitchen, dining room, and three bedrooms with a total of 12 beds. The house is open by prior arrangement.

The Mrkvište Mountain Hut is situated in the middle of a spacious clearing at an important junction of roads leading to Štirovača and Alan. It is a former wooden forester's lodge that has been renovated by members of the HPD Zavižan from Senj.

The Miroslav Hirtz Mountain Hut is located on a prominent rock above the former ferry port in Jablanac. It features a terrace with 50 seats. The owner of the facility is the Croatian Mountaineering Association (HPS), and it is managed by the HPD MIV mountaineering society from Varaždin.

The Kugina kuća Mountain Hut is a former forestry lodge located on a gravel road along central Velebit, stretching from Sušanj through the Dabarski kukovi area towards Štirovača and Mrkvište. The house has a water cistern, and on the way to Šatorina, about 10 minutes from the house, is the Težakovac spring. Inside, there are three dormitories, and at the rear of the house is a winter room (shelter).

The Sveti Josip Mountain Hut is located in the Oštarijske Položine forest, along the road from Baške Oštarije through Stupačinovo towards Štirovača, at the 7th kilometer from Oštarije. It is a former forester's house that HPD Visočica has renovated for their use. The house has a kitchen and two dormitories. There is a water cistern in front of the house.

Mountain Shelters


    
The Šugarska duliba Mountain Shelter is actually a metal container that serves as a simple, open mountain shelter. Nearby, next to the ruins of a forester’s hut, there is a cistern with drinking water that has been preserved.

The Crnopac Mountain Shelter is located on a small rocky plateau, on the edge of a rugged basin interspersed with rocks and forest. The shelter was built by Zadar mountaineer Slavko Tomerlin Tatek, and later care for the shelter was taken over by the HPD Paklenica mountaineering society from Zadar. It is a small log cabin, with the interior lined with wood and a roof made of aluminum sheets.

The Skorpovac mountain shelter is located right next to the Premužić trail, in the abandoned mountain settlement of Skorpovac. It is a simple steel and wooden structure measuring 7 × 7 meters, with a capacity for about 20 people to sleep overnight. The shelter is equipped with a stove and simple beds, and water is from a cistern located next to the shelter.

The Ograđenica Mountain Shelter is a small metal container, placed with the help of a helicopter next to the collapsed wall of a former stone house. Inside the shelter, there is only a wooden shared sleeping platform (a sleeping bag is required) and a small stove. There is no water at the shelter; the nearest water source is at the Gornja korita spring, further south on the Premužić Trail.

Camping sites


Located in Baške Oštarije, the Velebit Camp is an ideal place for rest, recreation and health, and is only 20 minutes away from the sea. Hikers and other excursionists are offered accommodation for over 30 guests in a comfortable mountain hut (heated by a wood-burning stove), tents or bungalows, and campers have 7 camping units at their disposal. Guests have access to a kitchen, a fireplace for a campfire and a barbecue.

The Vrata Velebita Tourist Farm is the starting point for the most beautiful hiking destinations on Velebit. At 300 m above sea level and only 3 km from the beach, one can visit an ethno house with an exhibition on beekeeping, taste local cuisine specialities in a tavern i.e. a tasting room, prepare a barbecue with friends and family, visit the nearby famous Velebit´s mirila or go for a hike. Accommodation is offered in a fully equipped campsite and in a traditional holiday home.

The Rizvan City Adventure and Excursion Center is located not far from the town of Gospić, in the small, typically Lika village of Rizvanuša, located in the Velebit Nature Park. An old family farm has been transformed into an adventure and excursion center, offering groups a variety of unique and attractive adventure activities. As part of the Rizvan City Adventure and Excursion Center, you can spend the night in a newly renovated Lika house built with traditional materials - stone and wood - or in a new campsite. You can camp in campers or in tents, or you can rent a wooden bungalow.

Hostels


The Baške Oštarije Hostel is located in the very heart of Velebit and only 20 km from the sea, at the point where the Mediterranean, continental and mountain climate meet. The hostel offers accommodation with a total of 32 beds in multi-bed rooms. The gastronomic specialties of Lika can be tasted in the hostel restaurant. In the immediate vicinity of the hostel there is a newly opened cheese factory where you can buy milk and dairy products from our own production. Within the hostel there is also a mini animal farm, including horses, and visitors are offered horseback riding and carriage rides.

The Čelina Hostel is located halfway between Karlobag and Baške Oštarije, not far from the Čelina peak after which it was named. The hostel offers accommodation in triple, quadruple and multi-bed rooms, with a total capacity of 30 beds. All rooms have a shower/WC. A fully equipped shared kitchen is available for use. With prior notice it is also possible to arrange with hostel staff to prepare meals for you. Next to the facility there is a gazebo and a spacious covered barbecue area for barbecue, grills and skewer. The hostel offers Internet services, Wi-Fi, TV, central heating. The hostel can be a starting point for numerous excursions (Premužić Trail, Theresiana Educational Trail, Nikola Tesla Memorial Center in Smiljan, Grabovača Cave Park in Perušić, etc.).
